DESIGN and STRUCTURAL ACCURACY
(The difference between on-site stick building and off-site stick building)

Component building combines the latest engineering technology and superior quality materials to create a home with the highest level of quality and efficiency. Floor, wall and roof components are designed and stick built in a climate-controlled environment using materials that have been protected from damaging weather. When floors, walls and roof trusses are built on-site, raw wood is exposed to the weather. Materials that are not exposed to the weather are less likely to shrink or twist. Engineered lumber is much stronger and won’t warp or cup causing the nasty drywall cracks and nail pops by windows and doors years down the road.

State-of-the-art computer hardware and software is used to ensure the accuracy and structural integrity of joists, beams, headers and trusses. This is extremely important when it comes to roof designs. All truss designs are checked and approved by a structural engineer.

Design and structural problems are discovered, analyzed and solved in the design stage of construction and not on the jobsite, when it’s sometimes too late.

Only superior products, such as Timberstrand engineered header material and parallam engineered lumber for all large bearing points, are used in our stick-built components. The completed panels are shipped to the job site and the sections are craned into place. The components are open stud construction. There is no plumbing, wiring, or insulation in the panels. Our experienced (and carefully hand-picked) subcontractors take over to complete the building of your new home.

Your home will be done quicker and be of higher quality, compared to a home that is stick-built on site.

Come and see for yourself. Walk through our homes during construction. Watch the components being set up. Take a good, close look at the superior products being used.
